Summer Poem by NJ
Well little one, I'll tell you..
Sometimes you can feel it
like the pulse
racing it's way back
to your heart.

Sometimes you can hear it
like a chorus of crickets
singing under your window
on a hot summer night.

Sometimes you can see it
like the peace of light
you get when the
moon crosses over the sun.

Sometimes you can smell it
like the scent of
hot dogs, hamburgers, and beer,
a family reunion in the shade.

Sometimes you just know it
like the love of a child
the loyalty of a dog
today is a good day.

That's just life, baby.
